Ancient yogins recognized
that an unsteady and disintegrated personality is a source of disease as a
result one may develop weaknesses of bioenergy which may cause
incapacity in absorption of nutrition or elimination of waste etc. According to Yoga, if a person is ill, there is
an imbalance / disturbance in the body mind complex, which leads to a disease
condition. Our body has a natural healing power. It tries to re-establish the inner balance
by various means. All that is required is that
this power is not interfered with. Different yogic techniques come to our help here. Like, Asana,
Kriya, Pranayama, and Relaxation, variety of psychosomatic practices (Anitya
